The ability to move people and goods through the City is an integral component of our community. Automobiles, buses, bicycles, and pedestrians all share the streets of San Gabriel. The City is striving to decrease traffic delays in the City and ease the movement of people through the region. Traffic studies have been conducted to identify intersections where congestion is a problem. Traffic signal synchronization has been utilized to help traffic flow more smoothly through the City on some of the busiest streets. School site safety is another important area that the City focuses on to ensure the safety of our youth on their way to and from school. The City is continuing to look into ways to improve safety and eliminate congestion on major streets.
