The City of San Gabriel passed Ordinance No. 591-C.S., an amendment to the portion of the City's municipal code that relates to the practice of massage in the City, on September 20, 2011. The ordinance went into effect 31 days after adoption, on October 21, 2011.

Massage providers already doing business in the City have until December 31, 2012 to come into compliance with the new ordinance. 

New massage businesses that wish to open in the City will need to be in full compliance prior to opening. Please see the Application Process documents below for further information.
