The Community Academy is a 12-week program designed to give citizens who live, work or attend school in San Gabriel an overview of law enforcement, including an introduction to police divisions, programs and the criminal justice system. Participants can also expect to participate in hands-on activities that offer an authentic law enforcement experience, including police tactics and firearms safety.
This is also your opportunity to meet the men and women in uniform who serve your community.
The next Community academy begins on February 21, 2019. Applications are now available and must be submitted on or before February 18, 2019. We hope to see you in class!
Apply early, as space is limited, and admission will be based on a first come, first served basis for qualified applicants. Qualified applicants who are not admitted into this session will be wait-listed for the following session. Informational brochures and applications can also be picked up at the San Gabriel Police Department.
