SG Covid-19 Guidelines

Purpose

In compliance with the Safer at Home Order for Control of COVID-19, the City of San Gabriel Neighborhood Improvement Services has a commitment to provide continued public safety measures and welfare to both the consumer and retail businesses. 

In support of the Safer at Home Order which begins to move the County of Los Angeles into Stages of County’s Road map to Recovery, the City of San Gabriel’s, Neighborhood Improvement Services division is vigorously working with businesses and the Health Department in order to continue to  monitor and obtain compliance.  In the case compliance is not obtained the Neighborhood Improvement Services department has established additional enforcement actions, shall local businesses not comply.  

Scope

This policy applies to all local businesses in the City of San Gabriel, including faith-based organizations, residential gatherings of any kind, garage sales and other businesses whether home based or commercial.

NIS will assist the County of Los Angeles Health department, by providing continued education and enforcement efforts of the County Health Orders as they revolve around the recovering phase.

Actions

The City of San Gabriel’s Neighborhood Improvement Services department is incessantly working with the County Health Department in order to provide education regarding the Safer at Home Order.   Neighborhood Improvement Services, will continue to approach non-complying establishment with an initial investigation of such. In the case NIS, finds it necessary, the establishment will receive a verbal warning along with a courtesy letter stating the County Protocols, stating the conditions and specifics of the Revised Order.  Enforcement is on a case by case basis dependent on the nature of the violation at hand. In the case NIS, determines and/or discovers malicious intent NIS, reserves the right to enforce and/or take additional steps in moving forward with issuance of citations.   

It is important to keep in mind the nature of the crisis is quickly changing on a day to day basis, as a City we are doing the best we can to continuously monitor and inform our residents of any updated information, regarding the Order.
