About EV Charger Permits

Pursuant to Assembly Bill 1236 and Assembly Bill 907, the City of San Gabriel offers a streamlined permit application for electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, also known as Electric Vehicle Service Equipment. 

Steps to Apply

  1. Download the EV Charging Permit Application form (link below) which includes an installation requirement checklist.
  2. Complete the fillable form on your computer using Adobe Acrobat Reader or any other PDF software. Print the form out and email the completed application to commdevinfo@sgch.org along with the plans for the project. 
  3. The Building and Safety counter is open for plan check submittal and permit issuance Monday through Friday 8:00am-11:30am. Please contact us at 626-308-2806 or email commdevinfo@sgch.org to schedule an appointment for the afternoon.
