- Be given prompt and courteous service;
- Be provided service from knowledgeable, competent and cooperative staff;
- Be given complete, accurate, reliable information and feedback;
- Be provided with consistent and fair application of codes and rules;
- Formally appeal staff decisions, where the code allows appeals;
- Communicate appreciation or dissatisfaction about staff, Department policies, procedures, or requirements;
- Collaborate with our staff to explore options and offer creative solutions; and
- Expect a "can do" attitude from our staff.
As our valued customer, we expect you to:
- Treat staff with courtesy and respect;
- Represent your projects accurately and honestly;
- Submit accurate, complete, and code-compliant plans;
- Inform staff of plan changes or project modifications in a timely manner;
- Obtain appropriate permits before beginning projects;
- Build projects safely according to approved plans and in compliance with codes and rules; and
- Feel free to ask questions when you do not understand code requirements or staff communications.
