Get ready, San Gabriel! The city is hosting another community cleanup event on March 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Public Works Yard located at 917 East Grand Avenue.
This is your chance to bring bulky items (such as furniture, rugs, mattresses and appliances), electronic waste (such as televisions, printers, computers, power cords and more) and hazardous waste (such as batteries, bulbs, paint, oil, medical, toxic or liquid waste). Hazardous waste will be handled by the County of Los Angeles. Like previous cleanup events, this cleanup is open to San Gabriel residents only, and you’ll be required to provide proof of residency and address.
If you’re not able to attend, call Athens Services for a free pickup. Athens will pickup up to two items – such as furniture or an appliance – per week, and electronic waste is limited to two free pickups per year. Additional pickups can be arranged for $25.00 per item.
