Youth summer programs are coming to San Gabriel! Community Services is offering free programs at Smith Park, McKinley Elementary, Roosevelt Elementary, and an all new program at Marshall Park. Participants can play games, make crafts, and take part in day trips and special events (there is a cost for day trips). Jefferson Middle School is hosting the Bulldog Sports Camp for middle school youth who would like to practice fundamental basketball and volleyball skills, as well as enjoy other fun and exciting sports activities. Each of the free programs are sign-in/sign-out programs. A guardian must be present to sign out a participant unless other arrangements have been made with Community Services staff. The dates and times for summer program sites are as follows:
Smith Park: June 11 thru August 3
Monday to Friday: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Roosevelt Elementary: June 11 thru July 6
Monday to Friday: 12:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
July 9 thru August 3
Monday to Friday: 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.
McKinley Elementary: June 11 thru July 6
Monday to Friday: 12:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Marshall Park: July 11 thru August 3
Monday to Friday: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Jefferson Middle School Sports Camp: June 11 thru July 6
Monday to Friday: 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
A free lunch program, sponsored by the San Gabriel Unified School District, will be served weekdays between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. for youth 18 years and under at Smith Park, McKinley Elementary, Roosevelt Elementary and Marshall Park.
