[ARCHIVED] Local author Daniel Acosta to visit San Gabriel Library

Local author Daniel Acosta to visit San Gabriel Library

A free reception for local author Daniel Acosta will be held at the San Gabriel Library on Saturday, November 3 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Acosta’s book “Iron River” takes place right here in San Gabriel near the railroad tracks. Although fictional, it reflects many specific sites of the Hispanic community of San Gabriel in the 1950s.

Come to the library and enjoy meeting this “known around town” author and teacher and hear about his young character, Manny Maldonado. The author will read, chat about his experiences, and join in light refreshments. There will also be books available for purchase.

No registration is required, and you may read more about the event here.
