May is “National Physical Fitness Month” and, to celebrate, the Community Services Department will host the 1^st Community Health & Wellness Fair on Thursday, May 9, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The fair will take place in front of the Mission Playhouse, 320 South Mission Drive in San Gabriel. Participants can gather free information on health and wellness services available throughout the San Gabriel Valley. Services available on the day of the event may include but are not limited to, blood pressure checks, glucose testing, spinal screenings and hearing screenings. For older adults, there is also an opportunity to have lunch at San Gabriel’s older adult nutrition program. The suggested donation for lunch is $3 and participants will need to RSVP no later than May 3, 2019. Call 626.308.2823 to reserve a lunch. Participants must be 60 years and older to receive a lunch.
