This past Sunday, San Gabriel participated in the region’s largest open streets event: 626 Golden Streets. The 5-mile path ran from San Gabriel through Alhambra to South Pasadena, and featured live entertainment, food and games in an effort to promote sustainable transportation and good health. For our part, San Gabriel has continued its commitment to embrace active transportation by adding bike lanes and implementing pedestrian improvements throughout our community. While more can still be done, we’re very excited at what the future holds for sustainable transportation.
