Our 46th annual Holiday Tree Lighting event is taking place in Plaza Park on Tuesday, December 6 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Santa will help light the holiday tree around 7 p.m. and will be present throughout the event so that attendees can take a photo to last a lifetime.
As community performances of cheerful music bring the holiday spirit to life, attendees can enjoy hot cocoa, ornament decorating, and a photo booth. Food will also be available for purchase.

- Jefferson Middle School Choir and Orchestra
- Dewey Woodcraft Rangers
- Community Services Dance Classes led by Lori Andrews
- San Gabriel High School Marching Band
6:00 p.m. Food trucks (Bison Burger and Rice Balls of Fire), free hot cocoa, performances and ornament decorating begins
6:50 p.m. Tree lighting ceremony begins
7:00 p.m. Santa arrives and lights the holiday tree with San Gabriel City Council
8:30 p.m. Santa departs; event ends
Don’t forget to bring an unwrapped toy or non-perishable item for the Spark of Love Toy Drive to be entered into a drawing for a special prize.
Parking will be available at the Mission Playhouse, Mission Church, and the Park & Ride lots.
