The San Gabriel Police Department’s Community Academy is returning this spring. Courses will be held every Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. beginning on May 4 and ending on July 6.

This exciting and informative ten-week course is designed to give community members a hands-on law enforcement experience, including public safety tactics and firearms safety demonstrations. Each week, the police department will provide an inside look at their day-to-day operations as well as their role in the community. Applications are now available on the city’s website and at the San Gabriel Police Department located at 625 S Del Mar Ave. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, April 26, 2023.

Interested applicants are encouraged to apply early, as space is limited, and admission will be based on a first-come, first-served basis for qualified applicants. Qualified applicants who are not admitted into this session will be waitlisted for the following session.
