The San Gabriel Police Department is excited to host their 29th Annual National Night Out event on Tuesday, August 1 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Mission District located at 320 South Mission Drive. The evening will feature music, various food trucks, face painting, a petting zoo, kids' games, and more.
This year's event will not offer complimentary hot dogs and burgers. Instead, attendees can purchase food from food trucks and booths such as Cousins Maine Lobster, Austyn's Burgers Truck, Rice Balls of Fire, Tropic Truck, Fluff Ice, Paradise Cookies & Ice Cream, Love to Go, and Nomad Ice Pops.
Families, neighbors, and friends are encouraged to stop by and learn about public safety and ways to build a safer community. Educational community booths will be available throughout the event, including a police canine demonstration from the K-9 Division. The San Gabriel Police Department's T3 Patrol and Bike Response Team will also be distributing free bicycle helmets while supplies last. In addition, members from the US Armed Forces, City leaders, local officials and community group representatives will participate in the event.
