Youth summer programs have begun in San Gabriel, providing tons of free and low-cost summer fun for local kids.
The San Gabriel Community Services Department offers free drop-in programs at Smith Park, Roosevelt Elementary School, Washington Elementary School and Vincent Lugo Park. Participants can play games, make crafts and take part in a number of day trips and special events (there is a cost for day trips).
In addition, middle school youths can attend the free Bulldog Sports Camp at Jefferson Middle School. This camp gives attendees a chance to practice fundamental basketball and volleyball skills, as well as enjoy other fun and exciting sports activities.
