On July 1, the City of San Gabriel launched a new and improved website, making city news and information more easily available to the public.
The redesigned website, still at www.sangabrielcity.com, has a fresh, clean design, is compatible with mobile devices and includes several new and updated features. The top of the website has a drop down mega menu that allows users to easily find the appropriate page for their inquiry, including a newly added “How Do I…” section of frequently asked questions.
The home page includes an expanded City News Center, which will be updated regularly with the latest San Gabriel stories. The “trending” bar at the top of all website pages helps users easily find the most important topics in San Gabriel at any given time. All of the city’s social media pages are also displayed on the home page, along with city videos and a calendar of upcoming events.
“The city’s website is the foundation for all of our communications,” Public Information Officer Lauren Gold said. “With this new and improved design and functionality, we want to ensure that any resident, business owner or visitor can go to sangabrielcity.com and find exactly what they are looking for quickly and easily.”
In conjunction with the new website, the city will also launch a brand new weekly e-newsletter, San Gabriel City Beat, on July 6. The newsletter will replace the previous Council Weekly newsletter with an improved digital format that allows readers to get the latest city news right in their inbox. The newsletter will be easier to read and compatible with mobile devices. It will also be simple to subscribe to City Beat by visiting www.sangabrielcity.com/CityBeat or texting CITYBEAT to 22828.
