The five water agencies that serve San Gabriel residents have updated their watering restrictions in an ongoing effort to handle the California drought.
Customers of San Gabriel County Water District can water on their assigned day (based on street address) before 8 a.m. or after 6 p.m. Watering on the weekends or during the day is prohibited. There is no time limit on watering. For questions, call 626.287.0341.
Customers of California American Water Company can water on their assigned day (based on street address) before 9 a.m. or after 5 p.m. Watering is limited to 15 minutes per station. For questions, call 626.614.2500.
Customers of Sunny Slope Water Company can water on their assigned day (based on street address) before 9 a.m. and after 6 p.m. There is no time limit for watering. For questions, call 626.795.4163.
Customers of San Gabriel Valley Water Company can water on their assigned day (based on street address) before 9 a.m. and after 5 p.m. Watering is limited to 10 minutes for sprinklers. For questions, call 626.448.6183.
Customers of Golden State Water Company can water on their assigned day (based on street address) before 8 a.m. or after 7 p.m. Watering is limited to 10 minutes per station. For questions, call 626.446.1372.
Statewide restrictions for watering prohibit:
-Using potable water to wash sidewalks and driveways.
-Runoff when irrigating with potable water.
-Using hoses with no shutoff nozzles to wash cars.
-Using potable water in decorative water features that do not recirculate the water.
-Using outdoor irrigation during and 48 hours following measurable precipitation.
-Using potable water to irrigate ornamental turf on public street medians.
-Using potable water to irrigate landscapes of new homes and buildings inconsistent with CBSC & DHCD requirements.
