On Nov. 1, the San Gabriel Fire Department, in collaboration with MySafe:California, held a graduation ceremony for the participants in the city’s first-ever Junior Fire Inspectors program at Washington Elementary School.

The ceremony was the culmination of a three-part fire safety program, taught by MySafe:California, in which nine and 10-year-old students learned about fire safety, smoke alarms and making their home fire safe. Approximately 190 students participated in the program and received special badges from San Gabriel firefighters at the ceremony.
