The nomination period opened today for candidates running in the March 7, 2017 General Municipal Election.
Three City Council seats, one City Clerk seat and one City Treasurer seat will be up for election in March. The filing period for nomination papers and candidate’s statements will close on Dec. 9, unless an incumbent does not file, then the period will be extended to Dec. 14.
If you are interested in running for City Council, City Clerk, or City Treasurer, contact the City Clerk’s Department at 626.308.2816 to schedule an appointment to receive your nomination papers and review all the required deadlines for becoming an official candidate on the March 7, 2017 ballot.
Appointments for pulling nomination papers takes approximately 30-45 minutes. The City Clerk’s Department is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Tuesday 8 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
