[ARCHIVED] Save $5 on Nov. 19 Turkey Trot, register online today

The 41st Annual San Gabriel Turkey Trot is this Saturday, Nov. 19, and the city is offering a special $5 discount for runners and walkers who register in advance online.

Those interested in participating in the event can use the code: SGTurkeyTrot to save $5 on registration for the big day. With the discount, registration cost is $30 for 5K or 10K run and $15 for the 1K run or 5K walk. Register online at Online registration ends Wednesday, Nov, 16 at 1 p.m.

The event will include a 5K or a 10K run, a youth 1K run or a 5K walk. Registration for any race includes a finisher medal, refreshments, a Turkey Trot T-shirt and a chance to enter a raffle for some great prizes. The top three finishers in each age category will earn a special medal and each first place finisher will receive a gift card for a turkey.

Registration is also available on the day of the event at an increased cost. Participants are encouraged to register in advance.

On Nov. 19, registration and packet pick-up will begin at 6 a.m. The 10K run and 5K walk will begin at 7 a.m., the 5K run will begin at 7:25 a.m. and the 1K youth run will begin at 8:15 a.m. Vincent Lugo Park is located at the corner of Wells and Ramona.
