This January, the city will significantly improve its business friendly practices and enhance development in San Gabriel with the launch of a brand new website dedicated entirely to economic development.
The website, at www.sangabrieled.com, will include a host of resources and features to help the city successfully attract new business, assist developers and business owners, and boost the overall city image. Among the website features will be a downloadable copy of the city’s marketing packet, information about the city’s diversity and tourism, an interactive “animated demographics” page, data on development opportunity sites in the city, and highlights featuring city restaurants and other destinations.
The website will also include features that align with the city’s Business Friendly Action Plan, such as a “guide to doing business” that will be available in multiple languages and assist interested business owners in following the city processes from beginning to end. With the new website, the city aims to improve its business friendly practices and attract exciting businesses to the city, including large scale and national tenants that have been long-desired by San Gabriel residents, as well as unique, up and coming independent retailers from the Los Angeles region. In addition, the website will provide a one-stop shop where developers, business owners, renters and realtors can find all the information they need in one place that is easy to navigate and intuitive to the businessperson.
Generating economic development by fostering a business-friendly environment is one of the City Council’s top five goals outlined in the Strategic Plan, which was adopted in 2015. This new website will be a significant step toward achieving that goal.
