[ARCHIVED] City attorney retires after 28 years

Wallin Kress Reisman and Kranitz

Longtime San Gabriel City Attorney Robert L. Kress announced his retirement yesterday afternoon after serving nearly 28 years as the City's chief legal counsel. He will conclude his service on September 1.

For the past three decades Bob and his colleagues at Wallin, Kress, Reisman and Kranitz have provided effective and affordable representation for us, serving as the city attorney and providing specialized expertise in redevelopment, CEQA and land use, personnel and city prosecutor functions.

Bob began his service to San Gabriel in December, 1989. Over his time with San Gabriel he has served as legal counsel to both the City Council and the Planning Commission, and his firm has served as the City's Civil Service Commission advisor and City Prosecutor.

Mr. Kress will remain the city attorney in La Verne.

His concise and efficient legal advice will be difficult to replace. We wish Bob all the best in retirement.
