The city will be holding a community meeting in the Grapevine Room on July 27 to address concerns surrounding the "mansionization" and the development standards for single-family homes. The city is currently working on an amendment to the zoning code and would like input from residents on what they would like to see. The meeting will be held at 324 South Mission Drive from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. You may also RSVP on Facebook at this link.
WHAT IS THIS MEETING ABOUT?
The moratorium for demolition of Single-Family Residences in the R-1 zone will be expiring on October 4, 2017. The Planning Division is working to ensure that resident-expressed concerns about "mansionization" of single-family in the community are adequately addressed.
As part of the strategy to address this issue, staff is preparing to revise the current Zoning Code requirements, including the process and development regulations for new construction and additions/alterations to single-family homes. We want to share our ideas and hear yours!
