[ARCHIVED] SGPD to hold prescription drug take back day October 28

San Gabriel Police Department

The San Gabriel Police Department, in collaboration with the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, will be participating in the 14th annual National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on October 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at police department headquarters.

SGPD Evidence & Property Technician Wendy Flores and DEA personnel will be on hand at 625 South Del Mar Avenue to collect expired or unused prescription drugs. Since this initiative began seven years ago, over 8.1 million pounds of prescription medications have been collected nationwide. The service is free and anonymous, and no questions asked.
