What is the Planning Commission?
The Planning Commission consists of five members who consider applications for zone changes, subdivisions variances, development plans and conditional use permits, in addition to other special applications. Further the Planning Commission makes recommendation to the City Council concerning amendments to the General Plan, land use and zoning standards.

When are meetings for the Planning Commission held?
Regular Planning Commission meetings are held the second Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers located at 425 South Mission Drive.

What is the Community Services Commission?
The Community Services Commission consists of five members who provide a communication link between the City Council, department staff, and the community, of all matters related to Community Services and leisure-time programs and activities.

When are meetings for the Parks and Recreation Commission held?
Regular Parks and Recreation Commission meetings are held the first Monday of each month from October through June at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers located at 425 South Mission Drive.

The Civil Service Commission consists of five members whose responsibility is to hear employee appeals regarding disciplinary action.

What is the Design Review Commission?
The Design Review Commission consists of three members to include representation from design profession such as architecture, landscape architecture, engineering and building design. The Design Review Commission is responsible for reviewing building plans for commercial and residential projects.

Meetings for the Design Review Commission are held the fourth Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, 425 South Mission Drive, in Conference Room A.
