What kind of permit or license do I need to solicit for charitable purposes?
You will not need a permit. You will, however, need a Solicitation Notice of Intention. You must file it with the City Finance Department at least 15 days prior to the start of solicitation. The form is available on the City website at www.sangabrielcity.com or you may pick one up at City Hall, 425 S. Mission Dr., San Gabriel, CA 91776.

Religious and political solicitors do not need a permit or Solicitation Notice of Intention, but will need to abide by permitted hours and signage.
