1. Who provides my water service?

Although the city of San Gabriel is serviced by five water companies, most customers are serviced by the County Water District. The attached map shows the service areas of each company. If you have additional questions about your service please contact the company for more information.

2. Whom do I call for trash pick-up?

Athens Services has an exclusive franchise for trash disposal service in the City. Call (888) 336-6100.

3. Who do I contact to have a time limited curb repainted?

4. How can I change the number for my address?

A property owner may submit an address change request to the city with the proper payment. Please use the attached form to make your request.

5. How can I find out the size of my lot?

You can view the L.A County Assessors website.

6. Who do I contact to get street lights installed or repaired?

Please submit a request online or call Public Works at (626) 308-2825.

7. How can I find my property line?

The City is not able to assist in locating property lines or corners. Community Development Department staff can help you find the parcel or subdivision map for your area. These show the property lines and dimensions, but may not be very helpful without the proper surveying training and equipment. Obtaining a property survey by a licensed land surveyor is the recommended way to accurately determine a property line. You must contact a private survey company for that service.

8. How do I dispose of hazardous waste like batteries, florescent lights, old TVs and monitors?

10. How do I get my sewer lateral information?

Contact Engineering Division or visit City Hall to get a copy.

11. I am remodeling; can I leave a large trash dumpster on the street?

You may be able to get a large metal trash bin permit but it depends on the circumstances. Please contact us for assistance at (626) 308-2825.

12. How can I get copy of an as-built plan or centerline tie?

Contact the Engineering Division or visit City Hall to get a copy.
