1. When are the parks open to the public?

Smith Park & Vincent Lugo Park Hours : 7:30 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. daily.

Marshall Park : 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. daily.

2. Can you have moon bounces or live animal shows in San Gabriel Parks?

These are not allowed, pursuant to San Gabriel Municipal Code Section 10-2.06.

3. What parks in the City of San Gabriel have picnic areas for rent?

There are picnic areas for rent at Smith Park, Marshall and Vincent Lugo Park. There are three areas at Vincent Lugo Park, two picnic areas at Marshall Park and one area at Smith Park. Please call Community Services at (626) 308-2875 for reservation prices and additional information.

4. Who designed La Laguna de San Gabriel?

La Laguna de San Gabriel, also known as "Dinosaur Park" was designed by Benjamin Dominguez in 1965. The playground is located behind Vincent Lugo Park at the corner of Wells & Ramona Street, San Gabriel.

5. Are food vendors allowed at the picnic areas for private reservations?

Smith Park & Vincent Lugo Park

Yes, vendors such as taco carts are allowed as long as there is cardboard or plastic set down to protect the grass or concrete.

Marshall Park

No, unfortunately food cannot be cooked onsite at this location.

6. Are there electrical outlets at the parks?

No, there are no electrical outlets available for public use.
